http://www.nextiva.com/voip/

Although for many of us, presentation skills are used infrequently, is probably times in your life when you need to present information to a group of people, whether in a formal or informal setting.

The idea of giving a presentation or speaking to a group of people can be very frightening to the beginner, even hardened professionals may feel nervous. Good planning and practice, however, can help alleviate these fears and allow you to present information clearly and effectively.

Part1. Interpersonal communication skills

I'll start a series of posts in which we will develop our communication skills.

We'll started with interpersonal skills, which are the skills we use when we engage face-to-face communication with one or more people. What we say is an important way of getting our message but using our voice is just the top of the iceberg. Actually we communicate more information using non-verbal cues, gestures, facial expression, body language, even our appearance.

Interpersonal communication skills are essential for the development of other key life skills. Being able to communicate well with others is often essential to solve the problems that inevitably occur in both our personal and professional lives. Decision making is another area that can benefit from good communication skills, as they often requires communication of complex information so the best decision can be made.

Saying NO!

The success is often built on the habit of saying "yes" to the opportunities that present themselves. We are hungry for any opportunity to prove ourselves and to others, and when we are presented with an opportunity we take it. We may also tend to say "yes" by the fear that if we reject an opportunity even once it will sends a message that we are not interested, and we will stop receiving opportunities in the future. How would you act?

Would you dare to defend yourself like this?

Prezi Presentations

Prezi is a presentation tool that helps transform a heavy, static presentation into an attractive presentation that tells a story. Instead of going from slide to slide (the case of PowerPoint), Prezi uses the mobility of these as if it was a movie.

They're already in your pocket!

Be assertive

It is often argued that in a conflict there are only two choices: confrontation or flight. Assertiveness raises a third way to maintain our position, draw a red line and wait for the other to pass it tired. A simple way to define it is how the ability to say NO. Social relations were not raised in terms of winning or losing but to reach an agreement.

http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/201310/the-power-no

Assertiveness is the ability to self-affirm one's rights, while respecting the rights of others. We can only relate to the satisfaction of both parties if we feel we have the same rights and deserve the same respect as the other, the person with true self-esteem will not defend, but to be respected; it will not win, but to negotiate.

We will be better able to handle situations we get out of ourselves and look to others from their point of view. Before acting, you should see from where the other person speaks. The assertive response serves to set limits, no in order for the other to change.

The same message can be conveyed in a respectful or disrespectful. It is not the content but the way in which a message is transmitted that matters. The assertive person knows when and where to show what they think and feel, using appropriate social skills, so no one can force you to do something you do not want to do.

And either way: you can always try again!

Transforms a school bus into his home

In our last activity on Opening and closing of an oral presentation, my group drew inspiration from an article about an architecture student who made an ambitious final master project and converted a school bus in a "mobile home".

Came time to choose a final draft of the master of architecture and Hank Butitta still did not know what to do, until suddenly came up with an original idea.

This architecture student was tired of drawing buildings that were never produced. So, encouraged by his teacher Adam Marcus, chose to make a real project and having to solve the problems that was found during the project and who otherwise would never have been able to explore.

Hank began his ambitious project, bought a bus (typical yellow-american-bus) and hands were set to work to convert it. The vehicle is like a mini home, it has all the amenities: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room, plus room for storage spaces. All very functionally designed to achieve the comfort of a normal house.

To complete his project, Hank, his photographer friend Justin Evidon and Vince, Hank's younger brother embarked on a journey across the United States, testing their design. All the experiences are collecting on their website "Hank Bought a Bus".

2.- Can enable fluid exposure is without weaknesses.
3.- Forces integrated into the presentation visual and typographic elements essential, but very expressive.
