I recently had the chance to talk to some entrepreneurs about what they look for in potential employees. Here I leave one the interviews I did to Mercedes Bruned, a business woman that has made a career in the field of art as a restorer of cultural property.
Name: Mercedes Bruned Gil
Employment: Manager in GAM Restauració SCP
What do you
look for in a new employee?
Involvement.
What do you
focus in during an interview?
If she/she can
listen and pay attention and in which moments do they speak or intervene in the
conversation.
How
important is the Curriculum Vitae to you?
I find it
indicative, I don’t expect the best CV but I do look
for duration and continuity in campaigns, where and with which entity.
How
important in the new employee’s attitude in the interview and in the job to
you?
I like that
the person demonstrates that he/she is eager to work and learn. I can’t stand people that think that they are the best in what they do,
usually those are the ones that don’t listen or know how to work in a
team, don’t get the tasks done in time and
create a slow work environment.
